Film Photography

I’m always trying to improve my business and offer more for my couples, so adding film photos to the gallery is something I believe is such beautiful addition. Yes they’re not as crisp and perfect as digital, but that’s what makes them more beautiful, the imperfectness about them.

What is film photography?

The process of film photography typically involves using a camera that holds a roll of film, which is advanced after each exposure. The film is then developed in a dark room or sent to a lab to be processed and digitalised.

Film photography fosters a more intentional approach to taking pictures. With a limited number of shots available per roll, every shot really does count. It really makes you think carefully about composition, lighting, and the subject before pressing the shutter, and really sit back and decide, is this moment worth taking a photo of.

Film is something I've been practising and developing over the past couple of years when I bought my first film camera at the start of 2023. My collection has now built to 3 faves, and a few cheaper ones I've tested over the time. I’ve played with different types of film, different lighting, different focal length to really find a style that works for me

I love everything about it to be fair, it fills me with so much excitement when the images land in my inbox, to remind myself what I've shot and if something I've tried has worked

The overall looks gives it that old, grainy feel which holds emotion and makes images even more timeless.
