What a magical day I got to share with this amazing couple.

Melissa & Laura initially booked me for their big wedding day, until changing their plans and choosing to elope. The destination of their elopement was the stunning Lake District, surrounded by beauty. The girls hired the the most incredible treehouse nestled in the woods near Penrith. Myself and their videographer, Maxine headed to the treehouse 2 weeks before to scout out locations perfect for their photos and videos ahead of the day so we could come up with the most perfect plan for their day.

Their ceremony was in the field below the treehouse, in front of a stunning mountain backdrop. With personal vows to each other, that even had me welling up. After the ceremony, we headed to a mountain to climb for those unreal lake views. This part of the day was magical, with music playing, and champagne popping, it was the perfect celebration for the Mel & Laura. They had envisioned getting into the lake in their outfits, which of course we made happen. We found a location by the bottom of the mountain we had just climbed accessible for them to run into the water together. The moment was so romantic as the sun went down whilst kissing in the water. To finish off the most amazing day, we ended it with champagne and a wedding cake in the natural hot tub as the sun went down. We left the girls to enjoy their night as it went dark.
